KitchenAid

In 1919, a pioneering home appliance was introduced to the world when KitchenAid’s first stand mixer was born. A stand mixer that would revolutionise cooking for both home cooks and professional chefs.

The KitchenAid factory was founded in Michigan, USA in 1919 and bought by Whirlpool in 1987. Professional kitchen appliances were produced there and the world’s first stand mixer for household use was developed.

In 1937, KitchenAid’s stand mixer was redesigned by American designer Egmont Arens – and a true design classic was born. It has since received numerous design awards and is on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco.

The KitchenAid stand mixer boasts superior quality with an average lifespan of 30 years. It has a powerful motor and a unique ‘planetary mixing’ action – developed and patented by KitchenAid. The entire mixer is made of metal, so it is durable and stable. A wide range of attachments is available – yet only one attachment hub.

The KitchenAid range also includes many other good and innovative electric kitchen helpers such as blenders, food processors, coffee makers and more.
